Music of the Valley 2021-22 COVID Update

Greetings Music Educators!

We at MOV-AOSA hope you all had a restful summer. Everyone certainly needed it.

Music of the Valley is committed to bringing you safe and high-quality professional learning opportunities. We are closely monitoring the status of COVID 19 in hopes of delivering one or two professional development workshops in the later half of the 2021-22 school year. There are currently no concrete dates or presenters to announce at this time. Membership prices will be adjusted to reflect our offerings once we can announce our schedule. Members who paid their dues in 2019-20 will be granted free membership this year. Please look forward to our future announcements and feel free to reach out with any questions. Remember that each member of our board is still committed to helping you and we are always just an email away. It’s what WE can do for each other.

Good luck as you begin your school year!

Music of the Valley Official Statement

Greetings Fellow Music Educators,

Music of the Valley stands with all members of the Black community and all those working for racial equality.  As teachers and musicians, we have the responsibility to use our platform to address systemic inequities within our society.  The members of Music of the Valley are committed to learning more about racial injustice, standing in solidarity, and supporting justice within music education and our country.  We invite our members, new and old, to join us in listening and learning.  For those who would like to learn more, please see the official AOSA statement
